About video testing

If you are training with a Battlefield Kali Instructor in your area, he/she will be testing you in person, so there is no need to test via video.

If you are training on your own and are sending us your video test, you will need to pay the Battlefield Kali Headquarters for both the testing fee and the certificate fee. You can pay for your test by going to Burton Richarson’s main  online store

At the beginning of the test, please make sure to say your full name, city, state (and country if not in the USA) along with contact info (phone number or e-mail). This is done only once before you start the actual test.

Make sure to abide by the time limits we have posted for each test. We will not view a test if it goes over the time allowed.

Once you have the footage, you can choose to send it to us using the following options. You DON’T have to send copies of your sparring logs.

MAIL:

  1. Burn footage to DVD (double check that the disc plays!)
  2. Write your name, city, state, phone number or e-mail on the disc and what test is on the DVD.
    If you live in the USA, you may choose to include your payment (check or money order) made out to Burton Richardson with the disc.
    For all other countries, please make the payment using Burton Richardson’s main online store
  3. Send to:

E-MAIL:

  1. Make sure the file of the footage is on your harddrive.
  2. Name the file like this: LastName_FirstName_Test_monthdayyear.fileformat
    For example, if Joe Smith is taking the test for Antas 1 and sending us a mpg file on January 1st, 2009, the file name would be:
    Smith_Joe_Antas1_010109.mpg
  3. Go to http://www.transferbigfiles.com/.
  4. Click on the “Browse” button to select the file from your harddrive.
  5. Put our e-mail address in the “Recipient e-mail” box: info @ battlefieldkali.com
    (please note that you want to write this address without the spaces that you see before and after @. In order to prevent this e-mail address from being automatically flooded by SPAM, we are listing it here with the spaces.)
  6. Click the “advanced options” link
  7. Check the “Include a message for recipient” box.
  8. Write your full Name, full mailing address, e-mail and phone number along with what test you are sending.
  9. Check the copyright box
  10. Click on the “Send It” button!
  11. You might want to send us a separate e-mail as well to notify us that you have uploaded your test.

Please note that by sending us footage of your test, you automatically grant us copyright of this footage. We may use it in future instructional DVDs, online for promotion and in any other way we see fit without any obligation to compensate you for such use. If you wish to post your test online for public viewing, you must get written permission from us.
