ADVANCEMENT AFTER BATTLEFIELD KALI SINGLE STICK GURO SAMPU (10th degree instructor)
- PANGULO – HEAD INSTRUCTOR – Silver metallic rings on the red sleeve. After reaching Guro Sampu (10th Degree Instructor) teaching the Single Stick Program, your next promotion will be to Pangulo Isa – 1st Degree Head Instructor. The Pangulo has practiced for many years, and has gained valuable experience through teaching many students. It is a great distinction.
- MASTER PANGULO – MASTER HEAD INSTRUCTOR – Silver rings on a bare stick. (No sleeve)After continuing through all levels of Pangulo, the instructor can become a Master Pangulo. This honor comes from teaching and testing a great many students over several years. Just as becoming a fighting expert requires the experience gained through spending lots of time fighting a variety of opponents over a period of years, mastery in teaching requires a large investment of time teaching a variety of pupils over a similar period. The Master Pangulo deserves such high recognition because he or she has done a great service in spreading the art of functional stick fighting.
- KOMPLETO – FULL INSTRUCTOR – Gold metallic rings on the red sleeve. This is a higher level than Pangulo. Only a person who has become at least a Pangulo Isa (1st Degree Head Instructor) in the Battlefield Kali Single stick program, and has also become Pangulo Isa in the Battlefield Knife program and Pangulo Isa in the Battlefield Kali Sword program will be eligible to become a Battlefield Kali Kompleto Isa- 1st Degree Full Instructor. This is a great honor for the rare person who is dedicated enough to achieve this distinction.
- MASTER KOMPLETO – MASTER FULL INSTRUCTOR – Gold rings on a bare stick. (No sleeve) This highest honor in Battlefield Kali is reserved for the most dedicated instructors who have continued to train, teach, and spread the art over the years. It is awarded once the leader has achieved all levels of the Kompleto Sampu ranking. This is the rarest and most esteemed ranking of all and honors years of training, teaching and dedication
